Curb appeal, in an afternoon.

Mulch, rock, and the edging work that makes either of them look deliberate instead of dumped.

Fresh Mulch

Old material cleared or turned, new mulch laid to depth. Holds moisture through the summer and keeps the beds reading clean.

Rock Beds

Stone laid over fabric for beds you do not want to redo every year. Good around downspouts and along the hot side of the house.

Bed Edging

A cut edge between bed and lawn, put back by hand. This is the line that makes the whole front of the house look maintained.

Weed Fabric

Laid where it earns its place, under rock and in low-planting beds. We will tell you where it is not worth the money.

How we sharpen up the beds.

01

We clear and cut

Weeds pulled, old material cleared where it needs to be, and a fresh edge cut between the bed and the lawn.

02

We lay it down

Fabric where it helps, then mulch or stone spread to an even depth and pulled back off the trunks and the siding.

03

We blow it off

Walks, drive, and patio blown clean so there is nothing tracked into the house. Same finish as every other visit.

Good to know.

How often does mulch need redoing?
Once a year keeps the color and the depth right. Some beds hold longer, and a top-up costs less than a full redo when the base is still good.
Should I use mulch or rock?
Mulch feeds the soil and looks softer, but it breaks down. Rock lasts far longer and suits downspouts and hot exposures, but it does not feed anything. We will look at the bed and tell you which fits.
Do you remove the old mulch first?
It depends. If the depth is already right we turn it and top up. If it has matted or built up against the house, it comes out.
Does weed fabric actually work?
Under rock, yes, and it earns its keep. Under mulch it helps at first and then weeds root in the mulch above it anyway. We use it where it helps and say so where it does not.
Can you do this with my regular service?
Yes. Most bed work happens as a one-time job alongside recurring mowing. Mention it and we will fold it into a visit.
